3 Ideas to make Bowls

7 years ago | Art All The Way
DESCRIPTION
Crafting gave a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘Best out of Waste’ that people use oh-so-frequently these days. Have a lot of trinkets around your house that you don’t have the heart to throw out? But got no small boxes to store them in either? Don’t worry, because we got your backs. Here are the steps on how to make a few simple and pretty bowls.

CLAY BOWLS

Materials:
Modelling clay
Rolling pin (Roti/chapati Roller)
Stamping set
Bowl

Method:
1. Take some modelling clay in your hands, squeeze and roll it around your palms until it forms a ball.
2. Using a rolling pin, flatten it out like how you flatten a chapati dough.
3. Take a stamp block and ink pad and applying some ink on the block, stamp all over the rolled up clay.
4. Take a bowl and place the mouth of the bowl on the clay and press down.
5. Remove the bowl as well as the excess clay.
6. Insert the remaining clay inside a bowl and press down until it is layered evenly.
7. Let it dry.
8. Voila! Your bowl is ready for use!

BUTTON BOWL

Materials:
Balloon
Buttons
Glue
Safety pin

Method:
1. Blow into a balloon and tie it.
2. Apply some glue on the bottom of the balloon.
3. Place buttons over the glued area.
4. Repeat the process until half of the balloon is completely covered in buttons.
5. Let it dry.
6. Now, prick the balloon with a pin and remove the balloon. Do not leave any piece of the balloon in the bowl.
7. Voila! Your bowl is ready for use!

DIY ROPE BOWL

Materials:
Rope
Hot glue gun
Toothpick

Method:
1. Apply some hot glue on one end of the rope and spread it using a toothpick so that the threads of the rope stay in place and do not come undone.
2. Now, apply some more hot glue and roll the rope.
3. After a bit, apply some more hot glue on the rope and instead of rolling it around the circle formed, roll it on top of it as shown.
4. Continue this, going a bit outside with each circle to form a bowl.
5. Apply some hot glue on the other end and spread it with a toothpick too.
6. Now, apply some hot glue and stick it forming a loop as shown in the video.
7. Voila! Your bowl is ready for use!
