DIY Origami Santa Claus

Origami is an art of patience. Yet, it is one of that art which has been growing crazily popular over the years. And, of course, the variety of things that can be made through origami has been on the rise too. Animals, Birds, Flowers, Leaves, even dresses. We have before released tutorial videos for different origami flowers. Using this art of folding papers, today we have a pretty Origami Santa Claus for you to try out!

DIY: ORIGAMI SANTA CLAUS
Handmade crafts have always held a special appeal and beauty. And, despite being so pretty, they are often really simple and easy to make. Here is a simple craft you can make at home for Christmas. You can also attach a string to it and hang it on the Christmas tree as an ornament!

Materials:
Origami papers
Scissors
Black pen/sketch/marker

Method:
1. Take an origami paper and cut a square of size 15 cm from it.
2. Fold the paper in half diagonally. Crease and unfold.
3. Fold the paper in half vertically. Crease and unfold.
4. Fold the paper in half horizontally. Crease and unfold.
5. Turn to the back side.
6. Fold the bottom towards the center crease line. Crease and unfold.
7. Similarly, fold one side towards the crease line. Crease and unfold.
8. Turn back to the front and position the paper like a diamond.
9. Fold the bottom corner towards the center. Crease and unfold.
10. Now, fold the bottom corner towards the bottommost crease line. Crease and unfold.
11. Again, fold the bottom corner towards the bottommost crease line. Fold twice again.
12. Turn to the back side again.
13. Fold along the crease lines as shown without folding the triangle formed at the bottom.
14. Now, fold the paper in half from the top.
15. Fold the top layer downwards, leaving some space below the triangle in the bottom layer.
16. Again, fold it upwards again as shown, and then back downwards.
17. Turn to the backside and fold the bottom two corners towards the top corner, forming a diamond.
18. Fold both the sides inwards so they align at the center as shown.
19. Fold the bottom as shown to meet the two sides.
20. Turn back to the front and draw the eyes and buttons using a black pen or marker.
21. Your origami Santa Claus is ready!
