DESCRIPTION
DIY PHOTO STAND
Materials:
Paper Straws
Paper thread
Scissor
Needle
Method:
1. Take two paper straws and slit them by a scissor.
2. Take a needle and make two holes on the straws from both the sides by leaving few inches away.
3. Insert paper straw the hole and make a knot at the edge.
4. Take the other edge of the paper thread and insert into the other hole, make a knot.
5. Insert your favourite picture in the straw's slit on top and bottom.
PAPER STRAW EASEL
Materials:
Paper straws
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Method:
1. Take three straws (one of a different pattern) and cut them each in half.
2. Place two pieces at a slanted angle such that they touch each other at the top.
3. Stick them in place using some hot glue.
4. Stick the third piece of straw (different patter) over the two straws near the bottom, forming an 'A' shape.
5. Stick a piece on the back side vertically from the top at a slanted angle, creating a stand.
6. Voila! Your straw easel is ready for use!
PAPER STRAW CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS
Materials:
Paper straws
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Method:
1. Take a few paper straws (all of the same pattern except one).
2. Take the straw of the different pattern and cut it in half.
3. Stick the top half of the two pieces together as shown.
4. Now, take the other straw pieces that are all of the same pattern and cut them into pieces, each a bit smaller than the before one.
5. Stick these pieces on the other two straws horizontally.
6. Start with the largest piece at the bottom and continue until you get the shortest piece at the top.
7. Stick a paper straw at the top and attach a ribbon at the top.
8. Form a loop in the ribbon.
PAPER STRAW GARLAND
Materials:
Paper straw
Scissor
Nylon thread
Method:
1. Cut paper straws into 4 pieces.
2. Take a nylon thread and insert 3 straws one by one.
3. Insert the thread into the first straw again to get a triangular shape.
4. Repeat the same process for all the other colour straws.
5. Paper straw garland is ready to hang and decorate your place.
WALL DECOR (SUNBURST FRAME)
Materials:
Plastic straws
Spray paint
Hot glue gun
Cardboard
Craft knife
Method:
1. Take a cardboard and draw a circle. Draw another circle inside the larger circle.
2. Carefully cut the circles using a craft knife to get a circular ring.
3. Apply glue using a hot glue gun on the inner end of the cardboard.
4. Stick long straws on them in a circle as shown.
5. Now apply glue to the inner end of the straws and stick smaller pieces of straws between every two straws.
6. Repeat this process 2 more times, the final time, using longer straws.
7. Finally, use a spray paint and paint the sprays a beautiful copper colour.
DIY STRAW HEARTS
Materials:
Drinking straws
Scissors
Method:
1. First, take two drinking straws, and using your fingers, thoroughly flatten them.
2. Place one straw on top of the other, a bit slanted, such that it forms an ‘X’ shape.
3. Fold the upper straw downwards under the straw in the bottom as shown.
4. Now, bend and fold the rightmost piece of straw downwards.
5. Repeat the same again with the straw piece now at the right end, this time bringing the left most piece of straw under it.
6. Now, fold the rightmost straw upwards, while removing the left most two piece of straw from below it. Now, the left most straw piece and the folded piece must be aligned right next to each other.
7. Fold the right most piece downwards, while raising the left most piece on top of it.
8. Now, fold the rightmost piece of straw from under its adjacent straw piece.
9. Now, fold the rightmost straw piece backwards down, and then bring it on top of the left most piece of straw.
10. Fold the two pieces at the right corner downwards towards the back.
11. Now, insert the longer piece of straw through and out of the straw folding in the middle.
12. Now, cut off the excess off
