DESCRIPTION
DIY SNOWFLAKES
Snowflakes are considered symbolic of the holiday season, especially Christmas. It is normal to find miniature or giant snowflakes as part of the ornaments decorating our house during the festive season. It is also a shape often found in decoratives used year-round in several households! Why not take it a step forward and make pretty snowflakes ourselves that we can use as ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree? Here is how to make a simple yet pretty snowflake using a few craft papers and glue!

Materials:
Craft papers
Scissors
Ruler & Pencil (to make markings)
Fevi stick

Method:
1. Take a craft paper and cut a square of size 10 cm from it.
2. Fold the paper in half diagonally and crease well.
3. Make markings at intervals of 2 cm from the bottom, leaving 1 cm at the top.
4. Draw a diagonal line about 0.5 cm away from the diagonal fold as shown.
5. Draw horizontal lines joining the 2 cm markings and the diagonal line.
6. Cut along the horizontal line.
7. Now, unfold the paper.
8. Apply some glue on the corner of the top right flap.
9. Place a pencil in the middle and bring the two topmost flaps together and stick them together over the pencil as shown.
10. Remove the pencil.
11. Now, turn to the back side and paste the next two flaps together.
12. Turn back to the front and paste the next two flaps together.
13. Repeat until the end of the paper.
14. Make 5 more of these.
15. Hold all six pieces together by pasting their bottoms together as shown.
16. Your snowflake is ready!

Tips:
1. You can also use any other type of paper like chart paper, scrapbook paper, oil paper, butter paper, or even handmade paper.
2. Use a larger square for a larger snowflake and a smaller square for a smaller snowflake!
3. You can tie with a small thread and hang those flowers as an ornament.
