DIY Yarn Wrapped Bottles

DIY crafts have been on a steady rise over the years with people opting for these crafts, be it for passing time, making things for themselves that they can’t afford, to give their décors a personal touch or simple because craft is their passion. It is a hassle-free way to spend your free time that is neither harmful to you, nor wasteful.

DIY YARN WRAPPED BOTTLE
Now, doesn’t this happen everywhere? In every shop, where they add just one little addition to a simple and cheap item and raise its prices by hundreds or thousands? And yet, we still buy those, just because we have no other choice but to do so. But, what if I said you don’t have to do that anymore? What if I said you can make those things yourself? Today, let’s make a pretty colourful bottle with things lying around the house.

Materials:
Bottle
Yarn
Glue
Scissors

Supplies:

Method:
1. Take a bottle (preferably glass bottle) and apply some glue starting from the bottom.
2. Stick one end of the yarn at the bottom and wrap it around the bottle all the way up, covering a part of the bottle completely.
3. Cut off the excess and stick the end in place.
4. Similarly, wrap up the rest of the bottle using different coloured yarn in layers.
5. Voila! Your yarn wrapped bottle is ready for use!

Tips:
1. You can use embroidery thread instead of wool if you wish to.
2. Instead of using different coloured yarns, you can buy a single colour and simply dip some thread in different coloured paints to get different coloured yarns.
