Method:
1. Take 5-6 slices of bread and trim off the edges.
2. Now, take a wide plate and pour the milk into the plate.
3. Carefully, dip the bread into the milk, making sure to coat it completely on both sides.
4. Break the bread into half and roll it into your palms to form small balls. Squeeze out the excess milk if necessary.
5. Let these balls sit for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare your sugar syrup.
6. Take a large pan and add a little water and sugar to it. Keep stirring so the sugar doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. Boil it until it becomes a thick sugar syrup.
7. While the sugar is melting, grate the cardamom into a fine powder.
8. Once the sugar is completely melted, add the cardamom powder to the pan as well.
9. Stir it well and then remove the pan from the stove. Make sure the syrup it of a thick consistency.
10. Keep the pan aside to let the syrup cool. Meanwhile, pour oil into a pan and heat it for deep frying the bread balls.
11. Once the oil is hot, gently drop the balls into the pan and deep fry them on a medium-low flame, making sure they don’t stick to each other.
12. Once the balls are fried completely, remove them from the pan and drain the excess oil. The balls must be of a nice golden-brown colour now.
13. Now, drop these balls into the sugar syrup and let them soak for a bit, making sure to coat them completely.
14. To make dry jamun, carefully remove it from the sugar syrup, cleaning off the sticky syrup from the jamun as well and then roll it in some sugar.
15. Your dry bread Jamuns are ready to be served.

Tips:
You can increase or decrease the quantity of sugar a bit according to your preference.
