Chocolate Raisin Tea cake

DESCRIPTION
Baking a cake from scratch will not be daunting. Bake this simple, delicious and delightful chocolate and raisin cake filled with walnuts which is great to have at tea time.
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 40 minutes
Number of servings: 5-6 persons
Ingredients:

All-purpose flour - 225gm
Baking powder - 1 1/4tsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Softened butter - 175gm
Light Brown sugar - 100gm
Eggs - 4
Chocolate chips - 200gm
Raisins - 100gm
Walnuts - 50gm
Orange rind - 1 tsp
Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp
A pinch of Salt

Method:

1. Cream the butter and sugar well.

2. Add baking soda, baking powder and a pinch of salt to all-purpose flour.

3. Whisk 4 eggs and add it to the creamed mixture and beat well.

4. Add the flour and ½ tsp. of vanilla essence to the mixture and beat well to get the batter.

5. Add 1 tsp. orange rind, raisins, chocolate chips and chopped walnuts to the batter.

6. Line the loaf tin with butter paper, and fill it with the batter and cut a wedge at the centre.

7. Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes or at 160 degrees for an hour.

8.Chocolate Raisin Tea Cake is ready!
