CORN CHEESE BALLS | Vegetarian Snacks
One of the most ingenious dishes ever invented has to be the creamy delight that is known as Cheese balls. It is an elegant bite that is a perfect serve for any appetizer plate. Be it an off-season picnic, any party, just a Sunday brunch or some grand occasion, cheese balls are still a favourite of everyone, no matter the season or place.
Of course, like every ingenious dish, even cheese balls come various varieties. Stuffed cheese balls, Mozzarella cheese malls, potato cheese balls are some to name. But the most famous, the one we have the recipe to, is the corn cheese ball. The creamy goodness of cheese mixed with the sweet chewiness of the corn grains make it the perfect snack!

Ingredients:
Corn grains (kernels) - 1 cup
Mozzarella cheese grated - 1/2 cup
Green chilli - 2 finely chopped
Salt to taste
All-purpose flour (or) Maida - 2 tsp.
Bread crumbs - 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup

Preparation:
1. Peel off the skin of the corn and remove the grains and drop them in a bowl.
2. Boil these corn grains in water for about 15-20 minutes until the grains are soft and chewy.

Method:
1. Pulse the boiled corn grains into a coarse mixture using a mixer.
2. To this mixture, add salt, green chilli, all-purpose flour/Maida and mozzarella cheese. Mix them together gently.
3. Take some if this mixture in your palms and roll them into small balls.
4. Refrigerate them for about 10 minutes.
5. After being refrigerated, remove the balls, dip them in milk and coat them by rolling them in bread crumbs.
6. In a pan, pour some oil and heat it for frying the corn balls.
7. Gently and carefully drop the balls in the pan and deep fry them till they're golden brown in colour.
8. Voila! Your cheesy corn balls are ready to be served. Serve hot with some spicy and tangy ketchup. You can also have them with cheese dip if you prefer your balls extra cheesy.

Tips:
If you would prefer to have the chewiness and sweetness of the corn grains in every bite, you can add the corn grains as a whole instead of grinding it to a paste.
