Corn Spinach Sandwich

CORN & SPINACH SANDWICH | Snacks
A piece of toast, early in the morning, and your breakfast is done. Isn’t that what most of us do? Especially those working ladies out there? So, it’s inevitable that you would eventually grow bored of them. But, what if you could try different toasts each day? Wouldn’t that help? Having variety and healthy stuff to eat? And how to make these healthy stuff tasty you ask? Cheese to the rescue! So, today, we are here with a recipe to a simple yet delicious toasted sandwich.

This sandwich is loaded with two delicious goodness that life has bestowed upon us Corn and Spinach and I’m sure that you will be celebrated by your kids when you present them with this delicious dish!

Ingredients:
Butter - 1 tsp.
Garlic cloves - 2 to 3 chopped
Onion - 1 no. chopped
Spinach - 1 bowl chopped
Corn - 3/4 bowl Cooked
Salt
Italian Seasoning - 1 tsp.
Chilli Flakes - 1 tsp.
Maida / All Purpose Flour - 1 tsp.
Milk - 1/2 cup
Cheddar Cheese - 1/2 cup shredded

For the sandwich:
Bread slices - 1 no.s
Butter to spread
Cheddar Cheese

Method:
1. Heat some butter in a pan and roast the garlics.
2. Add the onions and saute till the onions turn transparent.

3. Add the spinach to the pan and saute till it is completely cooked.

4. Now add the corn kernels and mix well.

5. Add salt, Italian seasoning and chili flakes to the pan. Mix well.

6. Add maida and milk and give it a quick stir. Add grated cheddar cheese and let it cook.

7. Once it thickens, turn off the flame and let it cool.

8. Spread butter on one side of all the bread slices.

9. Place the buttered side touching the toaster. spread the corn spinach and add cheddar cheese as you wish

10. Place another slice of bread with buttered side touching the toaster. close and toast.

Tips:
It’s best to avoid this for people with cholesterol.
It’s a heavy and fulfilling dish to have, so it’s best served for breakfast.
You can even cut the cheddar cheese into really thin slices instead of grating if you wish to. This would make your toast more cheesy.
