Crispy Babycorn Fritters

CRISPY BABY CORN FRITTERS | Starters
The crunchy little bites, the heavenly aroma, the hot and spicy taste… How can someone resist these little baby corn fritters? But, damn, the tasty ones are almost always costly and almost unaffordable at times. So, if you are trying to hold on to your budget, I guess you have to make these crunchy fritters at home. And that’s a good thing too. Make as much as you want, whenever and wherever you want, and enjoy with as many people as you want.

Ingredients:
Boiled Baby corn - 2 packets
Chilli powder - 3 tsp.
Salt to taste
Lemon - 1/2
Bread crumbs - 2 cups
All-purpose flour (or) Maida - 1 cup
Water
Oil for frying

Method:
1. Take two packets of baby corn and emptying the contents into a huge pan or container, boil them in water by adding little salt.
2. Once boiled, let the baby corns cool down and then cut it into half vertically.
3. Take the cut up baby corns in a bowl or large plate and mix them with some salt, chilli powder, and lemon juice. Gently mix it until the corns are evenly coated and keep it aside.
4. Take a cup of all-purpose flour (or) Maida, salt and chilli powder in a large bowl and mix well. Gradually add water and keep mixing till you get the right consistency. The batter shouldn't be too runny, it should be of the consistency that can coat the boiled baby corns.
5. Take a huge kadai and pour some oil in it. Heat the oil for deep frying.
6. Dip the baby corn piece in the batter coating it completely. Roll it in the bread crumbs and deep fry it in the heated oil on a medium flame, until it turn a golden brown colour.
7. Repeat until all the pieces have been fried. You can fry 5-6 pieces at the same time, depending on the size of the kadai.
8. Your crispy baby corn fritters are ready! Serve it hot with Tomato ketchup (or) mayonnaise.
