Onion Rings Snacks

Onion Rings
Ingredients

Onion - 2 no.s
All purpose flour (Maida) - 1 cup
Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Pepper - 1/2 tsp (Optional)
Egg - 1 no.
Milk - 1/2 cup
Bread crumbs - 1 cup
Oil for frying

Method:
In a bowl, add maida, Baking powder, Salt & Pepper (optional) and mix well.

Coat the Onion rings with the flour & keep them aside.

Crack open the Eggs and add them to the flour & mix well. Now gradually add milk & stir gently.

The batter should be a little thick, of pouring consistency.

Dip the Onion rings into the batter & roll it over the bread crumbs until they are completely coated.

Add oil in a pan, and let it heat. Once bubbles start forming, add the onion rings, few at a time, and fry them on a medium flame.

Deep fry until the rings turn crispy & golden brown in colour.

Now, carefully remove the rings from the oil, draining the oil. Your onion rings snacks are ready to be served.

Serve it hot with any chutney or ketchup or mayonnaise.





[Tip: Once cooked, place the rings over a paper, and cover them with a paper and dab gently to remove the excess oil.]
