It is a hassle for every mother to cook appealing dishes for their kids and families. It is normal for people to get bored of eating the same dishes over and over again so frequently. But, how to keep their meals healthy when they get bored of the food they eat every day? Simple, cook new dishes. We are here with one such simple yet easy and different dish for you to try out at home.

PODI DOSA | Breakfast
Dosa is a really easy to make popular breakfast dish of South India. It is one of the most healthy and nutritious South-Indian meals. It is typically served with coconut or onion chutney. but, since it is filled with the spicy goodness of podi, it can be had plain too!

Ingredients:
Dosa Batter
Oil - 2 Tsp

For Podi:
Oil - 2 Tsp
Red Chilli - 16 nos
Chana Dal - 3 Tbsp
Urad Dal - 3 Tbsp
Sesame seeds - 1 Tbsp
Asafoetida powder - 1 Tsp
Salt to taste
Jaggery - 1 Tsp

Method:
1. Heat oil in a wide pan
2. Add 15 red chillis and roast till you smell the spicy aroma. Remove and keep aside
3. In the same pan, Add the chana dal, urad dal, sesame seeds, asafoetida powder and roast.
4. Turn off when they turn brown and let them cool
5. Put them in a grinder and add salt and jaggery. Grind into coarse powder
Your Dosa Powder (Podi) is ready!
6. Pour dosa as usual.
7. When the dosa is 3/4th done, sprinkle the podi according to taste. Drizzle some oil.
8. Remove when done and serve hot!
