DESCRIPTION
DIY crafts have been on a steady rise over the years with people opting for these crafts, be it for passing time, making things for themselves that they can’t afford, to give their décors a personal touch or simply because crafting is their passion. It is a hassle-free way to spend your free time that is neither harmful to you nor wasteful.

Accessories are always our first love, regardless of whether we be a girl or a boy. It wouldn’t be unusual to find a girls treasure chest filled with different earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Likewise, it wouldn’t be a surprise to find a guy’s drawers filled with bracelets, chains or watches. Yet, these days, with the rapidly rising prices, it is common for many to abandon their passion and love for these little things. So, how to save money but also hold on to your love? Simple! Make them yourselves.

DIY TASSEL EARRINGS
Earrings are that jewellery that is a necessity to be worn with almost every outfit, be it formal, traditional, or western. And tassel earrings are those accessories that can be worn with any type of outfit. So, why not make some ourselves?

Materials:
Cardboard
Silk thread
Fabric glue
Scissors
Needle
End caps
Round nose pliers
Hook

Method:
1. Take a small piece of cardboard and wrap the silk thread around it about 120 times.
2. Cut off the excess and stick the end in place using a fabric glue.
3. Insert some thread through a needle and tie the ends together.
4. Now, insert the thread from under the bunch of thread in the middle.
5. Insert the needle into the loop formed by the thread in the needle, form a knot and tighten it in place as shown.
6. Repeat the same at least 10 times and finally, knot it in place as shown.
7. Now, turn the cardboard to the back and cut off the thread bunch in the middle as shown.
8. Tie a knot around the top of the bunch of threads and wrap it around a few times before knotting it in place as shown. Watch the video for better understanding.
9. Now, take an end cap and apply some fabric glue on the inside.
10. Insert the top of the bunch of thread inside as far as it will go and press down, sticking it in place.
11. Cut off the excess from the bottom.
12. Insert a hook in the loop at the top of the end cap.
13. Tighten and lock the hook in place using the round nose pliers.
14. Make another same earring.
15. Voila! our Tassel earrings are ready to be worn!

Tips:
1. You can also make this tassel earring using embroidery thread.
2. You can make a multicoloured tassel earring by making a bunch of different coloured threads.
