DESCRIPTION
Toys have always and will always hold the fascination of the kids. But, why spend bucks on these toys that are easily susceptible to damage and breakage, especially when handled by kids? But, upsetting the kids doesn’t seem a good thing to do either. So, we are here with a simple solution. Make these toys, but with the help of a simple template, a little time and some glue. And voila! Your kids have something fascinating to play with that you didn’t spend much on.

DIY BOOMERANG
Feeling bored? Wanna have some fun which comes back to you always! One thing that we can relate to that is Boomerang. Just make your own paper boomerangs, throw them and see. Because the best part is, it will come back to you! Of course, it is fun.

Materials:
Craft paper

Method:
1. Take an A4 sheet and fold it in half vertically as shown.
2. Crease and unfold.
3. Cut along the crease line. Keep one of the papers aside.
4. Taking the other paper, fold it in half vertically.
5. Crease and unfold.
6. Fold both sides towards the center crease line.
7. Now, fold the paper in half horizontally.
8. Now, fold the top corners diagonally towards the center crease.
9. Turn to the back and fold backwards as well.
10. Now, open the paper up and pushing the creases inwards, fold as shown.
11. Fold the paper at the bottom inwards.
12. Now, fold the side inwards as well.
13. Now, open the fold and inserting the flap inside the pocket, ford again as shown.
14. You should now have two legs, one horizontal and one vertical.
15. Fold both the corners at the top of the vertical leg diagonally towards the center crease line.
16. Open the right side triangle and pushing the crease inwards, fold again.
17. Insert the left side triangle inside the pocket in the other triangle and lock it in place as shown.
18. Do the same on the corners of the horizontal leg as well.
19. Voila! Your origami boomerang is ready to be played with!

Tips:
You can use a coloured paper or patterned paper, or you can use a plain paper and draw patterns and write messages on it yourself.
