DESCRIPTION
Kathirikai Puli Kuzhambu
Ingredients

Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chana dal - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp
Red chili - 2 no
Onion - 1 chopped
Garlic - 4 no
Tomato - 3 chopped
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chili powder - 3 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Salt
Tamarind puree - 1/2 cup
Water - 2 cups
Brinjal - 7 no
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves

Method:
1.Take a wide saucepan, add 2 tbsp of oil, 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, 1 tsp of chana dal, 1 tsp of urad dal, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp of fenugreek, 2 red chili, 1 chopped onion, 4 garlic, 3 chopped tomato and saute it well with 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 3 tsp of chili powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder and salt.
2.Once tomatoes are thick and mushy, add 1/2 cup of tamarind puree, 2 cups of water and add 7 brinjals. Cook for 15 minutes.
3.Now, add curry leaves and cook for another 5 minutes.
4.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Kathirikai Puli Kuzhambu is ready to serve.
