Palak Chicken

Ingredients -

To make palak puree
Palak leaves - 1 no. Bunch
Water - 1 tbsp

To make palak chicken
Oil - 1 tbsp
Ghee - 2 tsp
Whole spices -
Bay leaf
Onion - 2 nos finely chopped
Garlic - 1 tsp finely chopped
Ginger - 1 tsp finely chopped
Green chili - 2 nos finely chopped
Tomato puree - 1 no
Salt - 1 tsp
Kashmiri red chili powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chicken - 750 gms
Water - 1 cup
Palak puree
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp

Puree the palak leaves with very little water and keep it aside
Heat a pan with oil and ghee
Add the whole spices and roast them
Add the onions and saute them till they golden brown in color
Add ginger, garlic, green chilies and mix well
Add tomato puree and saute for a minute
Add salt, chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and mix well
Add chicken pieces, and cook for 5 mins on high flame
Add water and mix well
Close and cook for 15 mins
Add the palak puree and close and cook for 15 mins on low flame
Finally add garam masala powder and mix well
Serve the palak chicken hot with some roti, naan or rice
