Village Style FISH CURRY

DESCRIPTION
Village Style Fish Curry - Recipe
Ingredients:

Seer fish / Surmai - 4 medium-big pieces
Oil - 2 Tbsp
Fenugreek seeds - a pinch
Garlic cloves - few (pounded)
Shallots - 7 to 8 nos
Green Chilis - 3 nos
Tamarind puree - 2 to 3 Tbsp (diluted)
Chili powder - 2 Tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Few Curry leaves
Tomato - 1 no
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt
water
Few Coriander leaves

Method:
1. In a wide deep pan, heat oil. Add fenugreek seeds, pounded garlic and shallots & green chilis. saute till transparent
2. Mean while, Dilute tamarind puree in a bowl. Add chili powder and coriander powder. Mix well
3. Once the onion turns transparent, add curry leaves, tomato, turmeric powder & salt. Mix well
4. Add the tamarind chili powder sauce & some water. Mix well
5. Close & cook for 15 to 20 minutes
6. Now add the fish pieces. Close & cook for 2 to 3 minues.
7. Turn the pieces, add curry leaves & coriander leaves. Close & cook again for 2 to 3 minutes. Done!
