DESCRIPTION
AJWAIN BISCUIT
Biscuits are those snack items that everyone likes to have at times, be it a kid, a teen or an aged person. I know I enjoy crunching on these biscuits often to satisfy my hungry stomach! However, despite the many brands and varieties of biscuits available outside in the market, I could never quite find the taste which satisfied me the most. So, I took to experimenting and baking them myself! Lets suffice to say, I am never short of biscuits! This is one such biscuit I often bake at home!

Ingredients
All Purpose Flour (Maida) - 2 Cup
Powdered Sugar - 6 Tbsp
Baking Powder - 1 Tsp
Carom Seeds (Ajwain) - 1 Tsp
A pinch of Salt
Butter - 3 Tbsp
Milk - ½ Cup

Method
Grind a cup of sugar into fine powder.
Take a large mixing bowl and add the all-purpose flour (maida), powdered sugar, baking powder, carom seeds (Ajwain), a pinch of salt, and some butter.
Mix the ingredients well using your hands.
Now, add the milk and keep mixing. Knead the mixture into a nice and soft dough.
Keep the dough in the bowl, wrap it with cling wrap and let it sit for about 40 minutes.
Now, take a little dough and roll it in your hands to form a ball.
Sprinkle some flour on a flat surface and place the dough ball on it.
Roll out the dough using a roti roller. Make sure it is neither too thin nor too thick.
Now, using cookie cutters, cut the dough into several pieces.
Sprinkle some flour on the tray and place the pieces in the tray.
Pre-heat the oven for about 15 minutes.
Bake the dough pieces at 180-degrees temperature for 20 minutes.
Let the biscuits cool before transferring them into an air-tight container.
Your biscuits are ready to be served or stored!
