Badam Milk Puri

DESCRIPTION
Everyone has tasted some yummy kheer or badam milk in their life sometimes.
But, what about Badam Milk Puri? Similar to a Kheer puri, Badam Milk puri is one of those dishes that can be served as a dessert as well as the main course.
The sweetness along with the warmth of the hot puri is sure to satisfy every stomach.
The recipe to this heavenly dish, though, is a very simple one.

Ingredients:
For Badam milk

Almond/Badam - 10
Milk - 1 litre
Sugar - 1 cup
A few strands of Saffron in milk
A few Cardamom pods
Almond Essence - 2 drop


For Puri

Wheat Flour - 1 cup
Ghee - 1 tbsp.
A little Water
Oil for frying




Method
Soak the almonds in water for about an hour.
Remove the skin and grind it into a nice fine paste by adding a little milk to it.
Now, Take a huge pan and pour milk in it. Boil the milk and simmer it for a few minutes.
While the milk is boiling, make the dough for the puris.
In a bowl add wheat flour, sugar and a little ghee and mix well.
Gradually, add water & knead the flour till it becomes a stiff dough. Set it aside for 15 minutes.
Once the milk has reduced, add a little add saffron in milk, and mix well.
Now, add the freshly pound cardamom powder
Almond/badam paste, almond essence and sugar.
Keep stirring as you add each ingredient.
Let the milk boil until it thickens.
Heat oil in a pan/Kadai for deep frying.
Make the dough into small balls and roll out round puris.
Once the puris are fried, put them into a plate.
Once the milk has thickened, turn off the stove. Your Badam Milk Puri is ready to be served.
You can serve the badam milk either chilled or hot, but make sure the puris are hot.
Pour the Almond/badam milk over the puri while serving in a bowl or Make a hole and pour the mixture into the puris.
