DESCRIPTION
BHINDI PEPPER FRY
Bhindi Pepper Fry is a very spicy and delicious side dish, which is also sometimes served as a starter. It is a very simple dish which is easy and quick to prepare. It is made with okra's coated with a covering of spices and some onions which makes it delicious.

Ingredients:
Oil - 1 ½ Tbsp
Mustard seeds - ½ Tsp
Urad Dal - ½ Tsp
Hing/Asafoetida powder - ¼ Tsp
Onion - 1 no. chopped
Few Curry leaves
Okra/Ladies Finger/Bhindi - 250 grams
Salt to taste
Grated Coconut - 2 Tsp
Pound Garlic - 3 no.’s

For Spice powder:
Peppercorn - 2 Tsp
Cumin seeds - 2 Tsp

Method:
Take a wide saucepan and add some oil to it. Add the mustard seeds to the pan.

Once the seeds start spluttering, add some urad dal, asafoetida powder and the chopped onions to the pan.

Add the curry leaves and sauté until the onions turn transparent in colour.

Now, add the cut up okra’s to the pan and mix it.


Season it with some salt.

In a mixer jar, add some peppercorns and cumin seeds and grind it into a fine powder.

Add the ground spice powder to the pan and mix well.

Add some freshly grated coconut.

Pound some garlic and add it to the pan. Mix well.

Your Bhindi Pepper Fry is ready to be served!
