Carrot Kheer
Kheer, or Payasam, is another such dish that is really popular among the people of this country, be it any season. Be it summer or the middle of winter, Kheer is a dessert that is never off the menu of various feasts. And with the various varieties available out there, there is something for everyone in the market. One such kheer that can be made easily without much hassle is the Carrot Kheer. The sweetness of the carrots only adds to the appeal and texture of this delicacy. A simple yet delish delicacy, master the simple recipe to this heavenly invention by following the following easy steps.


Ingredients:
Carrot - 3
Milk - 1 litre
Sugar - 4 tbsp.
A few Roasted Cashew nuts
A pinch of Saffron
Ghee - 1 tsp.
Cooking Camphor (Optional)
A few Cardamom pods

Method:
1. Pressure cook the carrots and grind them to a fine paste by adding a little milk.

2. Place a pan on the stove. Pour some ghee and the carrot puree into the pan. Let it cook for about 5 minutes.

3. Add some milk, freshly pound cardamom seeds (or) cardamom powder and sugar to the pan. Let it boil for about 5 minutes.

4. Now add cooking camphor (optional), a pinch of saffron and let it boil for a few more minutes.

5. Add some roasted cashew nuts to the pan.

6. Finally, turn off the stove.
