Dal Makhani
Ingredients

Black Dal - 1 cup
Red Bean - 1/4 cup
Butter - 2 tbsp
Bay leaf - 2 nos
Cinnamon - 1 no.
A few Cloves
Cardamom - 2 nos
Onions - 2 nos finely chopped
Oil - 2 tsp
Green chilli - 1 no.
Ginger & garlic paste - 1 tsp
Tomato puree - 1 cup
Kashmiri chili powder - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Water - 1/2 cup
Kasuri Methi - 1 tsp
Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp

Method:
1. Soak the Black Dal & Red Bean for 8 hours or overnight
2. Pressure cook them together
3. In a wide sauce pan, melt Butter. Add Bay leaf, Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom & saute it.
4. Add the chopped Onions & 2 tsp of Oil. Saute till it turns golden brown.
5. Add Green chilli, Ginger garlic paste & mix well
6. Add the Tomato puree, Kashmiri chilli powder & salt
7. Cook till it thickens & the oil separates
8. Now add the cooked dal and some water. Then add Kasuri Methi, Garam Masala powder & mix well.
9. Close the lid & let it cook in simmer for 15 minutes
10. Transfer the contents to a bowl and garnish with dollop of butter
Done!
