Panna cotta

DESCRIPTION
Panna cotta is an Italian dessert of sweetened cream thickened with gelatin and molded. The cream may be aromatized with rum, coffee, vanilla, or other flavourings. a molded chilled dessert popular throughout Italy, it is easy to make and can be prepared in advance. It looks and tastes wonderful with ripe red fruits such as raspberries, strawberries, or sweet cherries.
Ingredients

Gelatin crystals - 1 Tbsp.
Water - 1/4 cup
Milk - 200 ml
Fresh cream - 200 ml
Sugar - 1/4 cup
Vanilla Extract - 1/2 Tsp.
Blueberry Compote
Mint leaves

Method:
1. Take a bowl and mix gelatin crystals and water together.

2. Heat some water in a saucepan. Once the water is hot, turn off the stove and place the gelatin bowl in the hot water. Let the gelatin melt completely from the external heat.

3. Take a small saucepan. Add milk and fresh cream to the pan and mix it well. Keep the flame on a medium-low.

4. Add sugar, vanilla extract and melted gelatin to the pan. Turn off the stove and mix all the ingredients together.

5. Take some small bowls (You can also use small glasses or cups) and pour the mixture into that.

6. Cling wrap the bowls and refrigerate it. (Never keep it in a freezer)

7. Once refrigerated, keep the bowl in hot water so that the panna cotta will get loosened from the sides. Gently use a knife to release the panna cotta from the bowl.

8. Place the plate upside down on the bowl. Panna cotta will come off.

9. Put blueberry compote and garnish it with some fresh mint leaves.

Yummy Panna cotta is ready to be served!
