Rice Pancakes

DESCRIPTION
RICE PANCAKES | Breakfast
A simple tasty dish filled with yummy and healthy ingredients that would give your kids a proper, healthy and balanced diet. Similar to how you make a dosa, this is one of the easiest and fastest dishes that can be made for breakfast.
Ingredients

Cooked Rice - 1 cup
Rice flour - 1/2 cup
Oil - 1 tbsp.
Onion - 1 no. finely chopped
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp.
Asafoetida powder- 1/4 tsp.
Green chilli - 1 no.
A piece of chopped Ginger
Salt to taste
A few Coriander leaves

Preparation:
Heat oil in a kadai. Add the mustard seeds, urad dal, and asafoetida powder

Add the onions, green chilli, and ginger. Sauté well.

Once the onions turn transparent turn off the stove and keep aside

Grinding the rice
1. Add the cooked rice, water and rice flour in a grinder and grind to a coarse batter. Add some more rice flour to get a thick batter of right consistency

2. Now add the sautéed ingredients, chopped coriander leaves and mix well

3. Let the batter sit for 10 minutes

Method:
Place a non-stick pan/tawa on a stove and heat it. Cook the batter on the pan/tawa on a medium flame similar to how you would roast a dosa.

After some time, once one side has been cooked, flip it over to the other side.

Serve hot with any chutney of your choice
