Ellu Sadam, also known as Sesame Rice or Til Ke Chawal, has a distinct nutty flavor to it and is a favorite lunch-box recipe of Tamil Nadu. Sesame seeds are in black and white color. We can use any of these varieties for preparing this rice. We will be using the white colored sesame seeds. Sesame seed rice, commonly known as Til Rice is an awesome and delicious rice preparation. This is a very fast to cook, simple yet yummy and appetizing dish which can also be made with left-over rice. This dish is made with boiled/ cooked rice which is added to a flavorful spicy sesame seeds-spices mix and little hot sesame seed oil giving a unique taste to the dish.
